StoveAlways melt chocolate over simmering water, never over direct heat. Take care not to overheat the chocolate at this stage. The chocolate should be melted on its own unless otherwise specified. And remember not to over-heat the chocolate – it is only being melted at this stage, not cooked!
Microwave
Break the chocolate into squares and place in a completely dry microwaveproof bowl. Heat on Medium (50% power) for 1 minute, then stir. Heat again in several 15-second bursts, stirring between each burst. Remove from the microwave when a few unmelted lumps remain. Stand for 1 minute.
Always use lower power settings when first melting Cadbury Chocolate. Progress to higher power levels when you are well experienced at melting chocolate.
