Cocoa is vital to our business, which is why sourcing it the right way is so important.

It’s why we established Cocoa Life, to create positive lasting change across the cocoa supply chain. We work on the ground, hand-in-hand with the men and women who make their living from cocoa: making cocoa farming a sustainable business, creating empowered communities and conserving and restoring forests

We are investing $400m over 10 years to empower 200,000 cocoa farmers and improve the lives of more than one million people in cocoa communities.

To date, we have reached more than 175,000 farmers and more than 2,000 cocoa communities through the programme.

We publish our progress annually and use FLOCERT (the global certifier for Fairtrade) and Ipsos (third party research agency) to independently verify and measure our progress and keep us on track.

We also work with a team of external advisors from leading environmental, policy and humanitarian organizations. Their expertise and outside perspectives help us to evolve and develop Cocoa Life.
